My father had a lease with a man by the name of Doug Sahm at Skyline Ranch CC LLC in Valley Center, CA. His lease was good for 411.00 per month until June of 2006. Doug Sahm asked him to sign a new lease for 100.00 more a month in 2004. My dad said NO. In June of 2006 Doug Sahm said that that he would put my dad on a month to month lease of 1,000.00 that could be increased every Nov. to any amount Sahm wanted unless my dad signed a lease for 599.89 and pay a fee for not signing in 2004 of $3,900.00. In addition, on the same agreement, Doug Sahm said that my father was only allowed to sell his coach to Doug Sahm for the amount of $20,000.00. My dad signed this agreement and Doug Sahm signed this agreement. Today, my father, Max Glaves has a rent of 798.00 per month not including utilities and requested to move out in October of 2009. Doug Sahm stated that he owes Max Glaves nothing and that all his actions were legal and that he did not take advantage of my 82 year old Korean War Veteran Marine father. I think different. If you think a lease should be honored until its date is up, what Doug Sahm did was wrong. If you think getting a senior citizen to sign his home away for $20,000.00 in the height of the real estate market, Doug Sahm was wrong. If you think that signing an agreement to pay that senior citizen $20,000.00 for his home when he moved out and then not doing so is wrong then, Doug Sahm is wrong. Worst of all, Doug Sahm has a community pond at Skyline Ranch and a man who used to own a bait and tackle shop stocked it with big mouthed bass. My dad used to have fun catching fish with his grandchildren. Doug offered to clean the pond and promised to return the big mouthed bass upon completion. Those big mouthed bass now reside on his fancy ranch in Rancho Santa Fe, Ca. Look it up and you will see the caliber of wealth in that area. Well, thanks for letting me vent my frustration about what we have experienced since 2004. I guess unless we can afford a $25,000.00 lawyer, we can kiss our bass goodbye and our agreement for $20,000.00. If anyone subscribes to this newsletter who lives in the ranch. I hope that you have better luck with agreements with Doug Sahm than we have had. Otherwise, he can simply not renew your lease and you cannot sell your home or live there either. You simply have to abandon it like my dad’s good friend Bob Comfort did a few years back and moved to Seattle, WA. Hey! I wonder how that property was dispersed after Bob abandoned it? I wonder if the IRS knows about any profit Doug Sahm or Skyline Ranch LLC made from that? I’m not accusing anyone, I’m just wondering. Hey! If anyone is out there and finds this true account of what my father and his family has gone through interesting, would you let me know if there is any help that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I’m a first grade school teacher and I spend most of my extra money on my students not on litigation.
