COMOCAL - Coalition Of Mobilehome Owners - California
Hands down the absolute best newsletter out there. Worth the membership just for that alone. Started by Frank Wodley, COMOCAL is the new kid on the block making waves. They have an active Yahoo groups forum and will actually pick up the phone or answer your emails. Run by people who actually live in a mobile home park like yourselves. I urge you to become a member.

GSMOL -Golden State Manufactured-Home Owners League, Inc
Oldest mobile home advocacy group in California. They are a bit behind the times as far as outreach and utilizing the web. Don’t expect to call or email them and get answers or support. They are primarily a lobbying group in Sacramento. Maurice Priest’s ROP Inc. organization has been getting some bad feedback from residents who’ve used his organization to purchase their parks. Some residents feels they’ve just traded one landlord (the old one) for another one (ROP, Inc) and don’t feel they really control their park. Other parks, such as Windsor Mobile Country Club, a 336 unit low-income senior mobile home park located in Windsor, California, has had their parks bought by ROP, Inc without input from the residents. ROP simply came in and offered to purchase the park from the owner without consulting the residents first. This is in complete contradiction to their mission statement (http://www.residentownedparks.com/qa.html) which states their purpose is to help residents buy their park. Look at all funding options before making your final decision on financing a park purchase.
